Using Itemize

By installing or using Itemize, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't install the app — we won't be offended.

Itemize is provided "as is." We try to make the math right (it's penny-perfect), but you're responsible for the actual settlement among your friends.

Tokens & purchases

Itemize uses one-time token packs to unlock AI receipt scanning. Tokens never expire. Manual splits are free forever and require no tokens.

All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds follow their respective policies. We can't directly refund a purchase made through them.

Tokens are non-transferable. If you delete your app or switch devices on the same store account, your remaining tokens restore automatically.

App Store & Play Store rules apply

Your use of Itemize is also governed by Apple's App Store Terms (on iOS) or Google Play's Terms of Service (on Android), whichever applies. If anything in this document conflicts with theirs on a topic they control — purchases, refunds, account access, age rating — theirs wins.

Acceptable use

Don't use Itemize to harass others, attempt to break the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it for commercial billing services it isn't designed for.

AI scanning accuracy

Receipt scanning is approximately 85–95% accurate depending on photo quality. Always review extracted items before splitting. We're not liable for misread items — that's why we show you the receipt photo and let you edit anything before finalizing the split.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Itemize is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to friend disputes, awkward dinners, or anyone insisting they only had a salad.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app.
